Love Your Skin Series Part 1

1) Hydrate: Your skin is your largest organ and your body is mostly made up of water. Here's how much water your unique body needs per day:

Your body weight in lbs / 2 = Amount of water you need in ounces

For example, if you weigh 120 lbs, you need a minimum of 60 oz of water per day. If you weigh 200 lbs, you need a minimum of 100 oz of water pre day.

2) Wash your face every night and every morning with something gentle. Dry with a face towel and use a light moisturizer. Avoid using soaps, cleansers, moisturizers and creams with harsh ingredients or chemicals. You can learn more about this through the EWG's product database.

3) For your body, to avoid ingrown hairs and irritated skin, wait 12 hrs after any sort of hair removal before using any lotions, sprays, or working out.

4) Use tea tree essential oil on any acne. Make sure to dilute it with a carrier oil / lotion first.

5) Take detox nighttime baths once a week: add one tablespoon apple cider vinegar and 3 drops lavender essential oil to a tub of warm water.
