About Me

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatAllah wa barakatuhu :)
May the peace & blessings of Allah SWT be upon you, my dear sister.

I coach women and their families to become the healthiest versions of themselves physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I am a board-certified Holistic Health Coach, with my expertise lying in all things Women's Health. I graduated from Montclair State University as well as the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I teach various classes and workshops online and in person. With the grace of Allah SWT, I have helped many clients achieve their goals ranging from fat loss, beating thyroid surgery, becoming medication free, increasing energy, overcoming eating disorders, improving their relationships, and improving blood work results. I love what I do and left a successful Marketing job to do this work. I am the eldest of three sisters and Egyptian. I am married to my best friend and husband, Kyle Smith, alhamdulilah (all praise & gratitude is due to God alone).

Here are some fun (and more personal) facts about me:

I am first and foremost a servant of God. I try my hardest to strive in His way and it is infused in my work

I am a big goofball and Kyle Smith gets to see it all, alhamdulilah (all praise is due to God alone).

I am trained in over 100 different dietary theories and I work with individuals to find what is best for their unique body and lifestyle

When I left a successful full-time job at a Marketing agency to do this work, I was offered to 'name the salary' that would convince me to stay. I turned that down.

I am the founder of Modest Beautiful Muslima, a global magazine for Muslim women that has published 32 issues from August 2009 thru September 2012. When I started that, I had no idea how to make a magazine, but hit the ground running because I wanted to give back to the Ummah. MBMuslima no longer publishes new issues, as I made the decision to put my focus on Wellness with Yasmin. You can however purchase past issues at mbmuslima.com

I have scoliosis that went undiagnosed during my teen years. Finding out at age 22 was a catalyst to becoming a health coach. I manage my scoliosis 100% naturally, without use of any pain meds, alhamdulilah (all praise is due to Allah SWT)

At one point I was 40 lbs heavier than my current weight, I lost and have kept that weight off 100% naturally. With that being said, I believe that scales are very limited in telling the whole story. More importantly, I transformed my body composition and am fit, alhamdulilah. I do not count calories, weigh myself often, or stress about that the way that I used to.

I received my board-certification from the American Association of Drugless Practictioners

Being spontaneous & creative lights me up.

My mama's name is Mona and Kyle's mama's name is Lisa. Put them together and you have Mona Lisa. =)

I am a JETS fan and know so much about the sport, thanks to my football-loving husband, Kyle, alhamdulilah (all praise is due to Allah SWT [God] alone). =)

I was born in Cairo, Egypt and moved to the U.S. when I was 11 months old and have been living in NJ

I love nature, the outdoors, the beach, sunsets and the creation of Allah SWT [God].

If I can do it, so can you.

If my clients can do it, so can you.

If you believe in yourself, you can do it.
